Ever since his initial days of interest in the field of commerce, B Com was the course that everyone suggested to him.

Similarities:

Duration: As a student, you can gain a B Com and BBA degree in the same time interval, i.e. three years.

Curriculum: The curriculum of B Com and BBA is similar to some extent. Some of the common subjects taught in BBA and B Com both include accountancy, business management, finance, corporate law, marketing, and business ethics.

Faculty: The faculty members of both courses are almost similar in most colleges in India.

BBA and B Com Comparison

Differences:

Curriculum: A BBA degree is inclined towards practical learning in comparison to B Com, which is comparatively a theoretical study. While a BBA degree prepares students for management studies, a B Com degree gives students in-depth knowledge in the field of commerce.

Specializations: Many institutes in India offer specialization B Com. As a student, you can choose to pursue a specialization in accounts, economics, taxation, banking, or financial market. A specialization in B Com makes the degree B Com Honors. On the other hand, there is not specialization offered in the BBA course by most institutes in India.

Industry Scope: Post degree completion, a B Com graduate can work banks, consultancy firms, tax firms, and accountancy firms. On the other hand, BBA graduates can work for FMCG Companies, advertising agencies, IT Companies, and finance consultancy.

BBA or B Com

Both courses are very popular in India among commerce students.
